[Release] SATO’s Trace Eye FOOD-Pro solution implemented at Woodlands Sunny Foods
Bringing greater traceability and transparency to food manufacturing operations
Singapore, July 22, 2015 – SATO (TSE:6287), a global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empower workforces and streamline operations today announced that its Trace Eye FOOD-Pro solution has been implemented at Woodlands Sunny Foods Pte. Ltd., a manufacturer of confectionery and baking ingredients located in Singapore that operates under Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. in Japan.
Woodlands Sunny Foods first approached SATO looking for a solution to help them improve their production efficiency and more importantly, enhance traceability of their production process in order to ensure the highest safety and best quality in the products they provide to their customers.
As the industry expert for Auto-ID solutions, SATO recommended Trace Eye FOOD-Pro – a food traceability application designed to enable the real-time tracking of raw materials and finished goods – which has been implemented in Japan with success. As a one-stop total solutions provider, SATO provided not only the hardware which included the latest CL4NX printers, handheld computers and weighing scales but also a traceability software application customized for Woodlands Sunny Foods.
Nomura Yoshinobu, Production Manager of Woodlands Sunny Foods commented, “Demands are increasing on food manufacturers to produce high quality, safe products with an emphasis on traceability. SATO’s Trace Eye FOOD-Pro solution provides a much-needed ability for us to trace products throughout the manufacturing process to improve food safety and drive consumer trust in line with our management philosophy that places priority on safety, quality, and environmental integrity.”
“It is our honor that Woodlands Sunny Foods picked us to lead this important project. We are pleased that our Trace Eye FOOD-Pro system capabilities parallel with their operating requirements, and look forward to offering our traceability solutions to more businesses to provide greater confidence and peace of mind for the food industry and end consumers worldwide,” says Akihiro Ito, General Manager of SATO Asia Pacific.
